Macbeth

             In the beginning of the play, the mood is dark. There is thunder, lightning and rain. The mood is evil. There is fear and mystery. The three witches appear to be ugly and evil. There is also suspense in the beginning. We are waiting for the witches' predictions about Macbeth to come true.
             Absent Macbeth is praised by the bleeding sergeant, who has just come from the battlefield. He is described as a superhero. After that Ross and Angus, two nobles praise him for his bravery in the battle. After hearing about the bravery of Macbeth, the king awards him the title of the thane of cawdor.
             The three witches introduce and personify the ugliness and evil which pervades the entire play.
             Banquo first describes the witches as "withered and wild in their attire". He notices their horrible and skinny lips, choppy fingers, and their beards, but when the witches tell Macbeth of his future, he begs to hear about his own future.
             Macbeth asks the witches to speak more for he likes what he hears from the witches about him. He begs to hear more but the witches vanish.
             Ross and Angus tell Macbeth and Banquo that king Duncan is
             Pleased with their bravery. They reveal that Macbeth has been
             named the new thane of cawdor. They tell Macbeth that the old
             Thane of cawdor is to be executed for treason. Macbeth is
             astonished at the accuracy of the witches.
             Duncan trusts Macbeth Like he used to trust the old thane of cawdor. He says that it is hard to see a difference between a traitor and a loyal person. He thickens the plot by naming Malcom the prince of Cumberland, and the heir to the throne. Duncan calls Macbeth a "pearless kinsman" . He is in high spirits after wining the battle.
             She reads the letter from Macbeth and decides to help him gain the throne. She thinks of her husband killing Duncan. She is seen to misguide Macbeth. She tells him to look innocent...
