Different countries have different customs and tradition in regarding to love and marriage. Most Chinese, nowadays, will take their partners' financial status the first place. But things are converse to college students, which occupies a higher degree of involving into love affairs. To them, the most important is still "feeling", according to what they comment, "If there is no feeling, no wish to get close with him or her, how could you imagine you start a relationship?"
The different attitude towards love between the westerns and the Chinese people is the former is more spiritual whilst the later more material. Towards marriage, the westerners always take it more seriously. Once got married, they would keep their promise to their husbands, or wives. Though they could be a little free and easy before marriage.
The Chinese people serve a different case. They are always taking gracious masks with themselves, while cultivating "a second wife" outside their families. In this case, the toughest situation often goes to women. They are more dependent than men and more considerate for their children, if they have any. To keep the basic unit going as normal as it is, they will try to hide the secrets from their friends and relatives, weeping at bedroom alone. For men as well, some of them take it for granted that it shows their capability in either the material or the spiritual aspects. This might sad the whole nation.
