             There is another side to the story according to Forbes Magazine and Newsmax.com. In an article dated April 14, 2004, the magazine called 13 companies on CNN's Lou Dobbs list and talked with a few of the companies. Forbes stated, "Outsourcing actually generates jobs within the U.S. and profits for U.S. shareholders, who spend those profits right here in America." One of the companies Forbes spoke with, Planar Systems, noted for the record that outsourcing was the only way it could go head-to-head against companies like Sony and NEC. By going to foreign manufacturers, they were able to cut the list price on radiology displays from $28,000 to $15,000, which is an obvious benefit to consumers and affordable hospital care.              When it comes to offshoring, the republicans, including President Bush, have received undue blame. Offshoring, being far from a new phenomenon, is somehow being debated as if it is a creation of Bush's economic strategy. Although no one is ever happy to find their job lost, only to be given to some foreign worker overseas, it is a reflection of the growing global economy, not simply governmental policy. While democrats are using offshoring as a political rallying cry, the President is accepting this reality and using it for the benefits that can be taken from it.
