Communists were affected by Hitler's beliefs when the Reichstag was set on fire. Hitler's immediate reaction was yelling out, "It's the Communists!" which cause many communist leaders to be arrested and sent to prisons and interrogation centers.
To minimize his opposition, Hitler along with his SS, SA and Gestapo attacked the agricultural side of Germany, labor Union and Political Parties. Agricultural farmers were forced to join the 'National Socialist Organisation' which carried out policies of agricultural maters at a higher level. Labour leaders had to join a Nazi group called the 'German Labor Front' where Hitler promised they would be protected and live a better life. Political parties were announced hostile to Germany and leaders were sent off to concentration camps where most of them were killed. After those acts, the 2 parties that were still opposing Hitler (State Party/German peoples Party) saw the horrific outcomes and disresolved them selves in fear, which left Hitler with very few opposition remaining.
All that was left to oppose Hitler now was the Government. Hitler needed to gain power n the Government in order to rule Germany and even after losing the presidential elections to Hindenburg; he was still determined to gain power. Without a dissenting vote on July 14, Hitler's suggestion of making Germany a one-party country was passed.
This one-party was the Nazis and all public buildings from then on flew the Nazi symbol; the 'Swastika'. On March 23 1933 when the new parliament was established.
