When finishing the book I looked back at all the main characters and the hardships that they all faced. I would like to discuss the hardships of Mrs. Dashwood, Elinor, and Marianne. I am also going to add some input and analysis to all of these hardships
             First, I would like to talk about Mrs. Dashwoods hardships. She is faced with problems right off the get go. Her late husband's son pretty much leaves here and her three daughters out in the cold because he is influenced by his wife to not follow through with a promise made to his farther to take care of Mrs. Dashwood and her daughters. Mrs. Dashwood has to move out of Norland and into a small cottage. To me this wasn't a major hardship, but I me if you think about it she had to deal with the hassle of moving from a nice, elegant place to a small cottage, and though I never had to move I know for word of mouth that moving isn't the easiest thing to do. The largest hardship she did however face was that of dealing with her daughters. Not in a sense of them causing trouble, but in the sense of relationships between mother and daughter. When Elinor found out about "Edward" being married she was really upset and Mrs. Dashwood realized right there that she really hasn't been there for her daughter in such a hard time that she is face with. With this issue I feel that Mrs. Dashwood has been more caring towards Marianne, but Elinor hasn't shown any emotion throughout the book. It is probably hard for Mrs. Dashwood to console her daughter if she doesn't know there is anything wrong with her.
             Elinor's most major hardship is when she finds out that Edward may be engaged to another woman. She meets a woman called Lucy Steele who comes out and says she is engaged to Edward and it has been for sometime. She talks about how she gave him a ring with a lock of her hair in it and talks about how in love they are. One day Edward f
