As in the book Geeks, Jesse states that college was never an expectation for him. College is an independent institution of higher learning offering several amounts of courses to prepare you for the real world and your career in the future. There are a lot of reasons why people don't go on to college such as, "I don't know where to get all the money" or "I don't know which college to go to", "What will happen if they don't accept me?", or even "I wasn't meant for college". Although there are people that don't plan to go, I am in the crowd that will go onto college and try to succeed for a higher education and a good job when I get older.
             I want to go to college because I want to get all my years of education even if it's the last thing I do. I want to also meet different people and get to learn a little history about them as well as them learning a little bit about me. As you get older, you get wiser and have to start making decisions on what you want in life. In the future, are you that person you see on a television singing or advertising for their own business or are you that person you hear about in jail for doing something they weren't suppose to be doing?
             The thought of me going to college brings a positive pressure to me in my life. I always wondered how it would be in high school when I was in middle school and now that I am in high school, I want to explore the highest. My mother always told me to never settle for less than the best and I will not only do that for her but myself too. My little cousins, family and friends and those whom I am a role model to, I will give them something to look up to me for. Hopefully by accomplishing many goals they will follow in my footsteps.
