Raymond Carver's short story "Mine" is the story that most reflects what the dramatic

order to take the baby out of her hands. The parents selfishly argue over the baby as if it
were a toy and they children. The sight focuses on the notion, dramatized in the story that
possession is more important than anything is, except, of course, making sure that the
