Prayer

             Prayer is one of the pathways to the divine presence. There is a great power in prayer. Prayer gives you comfort in pain, gives you the answers you want from god, and heal to a broken spirit. Everyone pray to God in their own way. We can all pray anyway we like, as longest we do pray.
             There are so many different ways to do prayer for different reasons. Language plays a big role in prayer. We have to understand, what we are praying to God. We have to feel the connection with god through prayer. If we do not know the meaning of the prayer, then there is no point for us to even do a prayer. I remember when I was young and my mother told me to read our holy book everyday. I started to read, but those words didn't mean anything to me because I didn't understand what they meant at that time. As result of that I stopped reading.
             As I was growing up, my mother bought holy book with meaning of each line. After start reading that, my whole life changed completely. I became a different person. I started to learn the meaning of God, and prayer. I started to learn that believing God can really change your life. So I believe that, we have to understand the meaning of prayer, when we do pray.
             When we read something without understanding, then we lost the connection. As I read those three prayers, start with traditional, revised, and contemporary versions; I don't feel any connection when I read traditional because for me it is hard to understand. When I read traditional to contemporary, I gained the connection and when I read contemporary to tradition, I loose the connection. The reason could be the translation or vocabulary. As I read revised version, I feel little bit connection. I understand this prayer.
             Even though, those three prayers have the same meanings but I still feel that, the contemporary version touches my heart most because it is easy to understand and more explanatory. When I read ...
