It's always said that the book is better then the movie. In this case Mary Shelly's novel Frankenstein breaks down how the monster was created much more differently then what we see in the movies. The article mentions how Frankenstein had no emotions when in reality he felt love, compassion, fear, etc. All the movies picture Frankenstein as being a monster terrorizing the city back in 1816. The novel actually tells the tale of Frankenstein as to being helpful to many people & very caring. For approximately nine months Victor Frankenstein labored on the creation of his "child". Finally on a "dreary night in November he witnesses the "birth" of his creation. "I saw the dull yellow eye of the creature open; it breathed hard, and a convulsive motion agitated its limbs." As it mentions in the story. It also mentions in the novel that Victor Frankenstein did not stay and observe his creation. Instead of reaching out to his child, Victor rushes out of the room disgusted By the abnormality of his creation. When the creature follows after him, Victor runs away in horror completely abandoning his child. The movie makes it seem like Victor Frankenstein was observant towards his creation. They show Victor excited at first then scared at the creature as if it were to hit him or harm him.
             The book also mentions how Frankenstein tells his side of the story & the movie doesn't show any of that. In reality the monster was actually more human than anyone thought. He can read, write, & speak just like anyone else. He's only abnormal cause of the fact that he was created in a laboratory. In the movie actors portray all the characters as wanting to kill the monster. The book breaks it down to the point where if someone just saw the movie they would realize that they have thought the wrong idea of what the real truth is behind the story.
