After living in the dorms for two whole semesters, I have to admit that living at home is more convenient than living in the dorms. There are many disadvantages to living in the dorms and the advantages are very limited. Living in the dorms will add a huge weight of responsibilities to your shoulders. You will need to know how to cook, how to manage your money and how to do your laundry.
             Firstly, in the dorms you need to know how to cook. There are many reasons for that but the most important one is that junk food is simply not healthy and will cause you to gain weight, whereas at home your mothers' cooking is clean healthy food that you can trust. Another disadvantage of having take-outs everyday is that it costs a lot of money that you could save up for something else. To overcome this problem, you need to buy fresh food and keep it in the fridge, and the food easily rots if you don't know how to store it safely. If the food rots, that will cost you money as well.
             Another problem that we discussed briefly is the money issue. When you're living in the dorms you face a huge problem called money managing. Students, and girls in particular seem to have trouble managing their money because they are tempted by advertisements and the latest fashions. Moreover, in order to leave campus, you need a car, if you own one, there's the petrol bills to deal with, if you're taking a cab, that's a huge bill to deal with too. Also, if you're the clubbing type of person, going to clubs needs a lot of dressing up and the drinks are quite expensive. If you spend more than your allowance, then you'll go broke. But when you're home, you needn't worry about buying food, clothes or books. Because at home when you need the money all you have to do is ask your parents for some, explaining why you need it, and you'll get it.
