The Pursuit of Economic Freedom

             There's a major goal today in our society: economic freedom.
             That is the right to do what you want, when you want, where you want, with whom you
             want, and for as long as you want to do it. Right now, most of us do not make those
             decisions. Someone other than us decides where we are educated, what we eat, who we
             associate with, where we vacation, and whom we associate with because these things are
             income-based. The person or company that pays you determines your lifestyle, not you.
             That is economic slavery, and who wants to be a slave? I am sure that if we could add a
             few more zeros behind what we currently make, we'd do it. What I am talking about is
             reclaiming the right to make those decisions. And in order to reclaim those rights, we have to free ourselves from economic bondage. How do we do this? By first changing our way of thinking and become entrepreneurs, or better known as independent business owners.
             What have we all been told while growing up? Go to school, get a good education, and get a good job. What our parents were really telling us is if we did that, then we would have security. Now, how do we know that's a lie? By examining some major companies such as Pan Am, Eastern Airlines, and Enron, we know they went out of business for the same reason; bankruptcy. Now, here's the question, what happened to all of those people who used to work for them? Those companies had people that worked for them for ten, fifteen, twenty, and some of them thirty years. And we're not talking about low level employees, we're talking about people who went to school, got a good education, thought they had a good job, and security. People with letters behind their names like MBA, JD, Ph.D., CPA, and MD. Those people had homes, families, and car payments. Where are you going at 45 years of age with a pink slip and a severance package? Who's going to hire
