Career research paper/job dealing with math

             I would like to be an OB/GYN (Obstetrician/Gynecologist) after graduation. In order to attain my career choice, I will need some mathematics courses. The math courses I will be required to take are Mathematics 160 (College Algebra), which will cover topics such as geometry, quadratics, exponential functions, ratio and proportion, and financial math. Another class I will need is Mathematics 241 (Elementary Statistics), which covers many things, such as correlation techniques. Although this sounds a bit challenging, I am confident that I can do it.
             The educational background required for this career choice is pretty black-and-white. Upon completion of high school, I will need to attend a four-year university. During the last two years of undergraduate study, I will prepare for and take the MCAT (Medical College Admissions Test). After graduating college, I then will need to attend four years of medical school, studying approximately 70-80 hours a week. Another obstacle I will have to cross is that of residency. Residency can last 3-4 years, working anywhere from 50-100 hours a week. Once that is all finished, it will be time for me to decide whether to open my own practice or find work at a local hospital.

             Math is a necessity in this career in that you prescribe patients the proper medications (don't want to overdose them!). It is also crucial when you must give epidurals, so that you don't give the patient too much of the drug.
