             As they crawled and wobbled in pain to their seats, their classmates pointed and laughed at them, calling them names such as "Loser!" or "Dumb ass!" After they sat down, Ms. Lockheart began teaching Geometry and the Pythagorean Theorem. Right away Seth began to zone off and daydream. It is as if every word that came out of Ms.Lockheart's mouth sucked a little bit of life out of him. He hated school. Seth is not the kind of boy that would find happiness in learning all day being tied down to a chair in a compact room. He loved exploring, travelling, and experimenting on his own. Over the years he had learned how to sleep with his eyes open and depended on Faro, who always sat next to him, to warn him if the teacher had noticed anything. The only class that was appealing to him was the Alchemy Class. Alchemy fascinated him. It was the art of transforming certain objects into another object with different qualities and molecular structure. For some reason he was amazing at this and excelled in the class with abnormal ease. He went to school only for this class and had ignored everything else.
