He acts like the perfect gentleman and does not appear the least bit out of the ordinary. Jim also shows himself to be as simple and as likely to make mistakes as anyone else which reiterates the fact that he is normal; 'Hey there, Mr light bulb' and 'StumbleJohn. I shouldn't have done that'. He appears very concerned about Laura and tries to support her, 'you shouldn't have been self conscious', which would be the attitude of any normal person.
