Can you be fit but not healthy

             It could be believed that in order to be fit, one must be healthy, or that in order to be healthy, one must be fit; however, that is not the case. It is possible that this is believed because not everyone knows the accurate definitions of health and fitness. Health means that the person is free from disease, is active, and enjoys his/her life. Health is also divided not only into the physical body but also mental health and emotional health. Fitness means that the person responds to physical demands by becoming fitter. In fitness just as in health, there are different components. There are different kinds of fitness. For example, there is Muscular Endurance, which requires your muscles to withstand an action for a long time, like a guitarist in a concert does. There is also Flexibility, which requires you to be able to stretch your muscles very far too do certain things; for example, a dancer doing the splits.
             It's very possible for someone to be healthy but not fit because there are many different kinds of fitness. An example is that there could be a "computer whiz" or basically a very "high-tech" guy who spends a lot of his time playing computer games, downloading and listening to music, chatting with friends online or on his fancy cell phone; but since he rarely goes out and isn't active, his muscles are very weak. Another example is that there could be a girl who is an excellent dancer and has really great flexibility; also she enjoys her life because she has a kind family and she and her sister are always smiling and having fun. However, she has almost no muscular power because the exercises she does for dance don't require a great deal of power. Therefore she is healthy, but not fit in one category of fitness.
