time with all of our love ones. Now as I'm all grown up, I think what my mother was referring to was to take advantage of all the opportunities that were offered to me at the time. School should always be taken seriously regardless of the age or grade. My grades during my childhood could have been a lot better than just the average letter grade of a C. In some way, I'm quite sure my mother already knew that I wasn't doing my best in school. She would always say to me, "John you could be whatever you want to be in life but you have to prepare for that", now I finally understand why she would say that.
