Rid of age limit in professional basketball.
             Enforcing an age limit upon professional basketball has always been a topic of concern because of the many accepting and opposing views regarding the issue. While there are many professional sports which do not currently enforce an age limit (Major League Baseball, National Hockey League, Major League Soccer, Professional Golf Association, etc.), there are still those sports in which do enforce an age limit upon their athletes and future athletes (National Basketball Association, National Football League, etc).
             "The NBA's seven-year labor agreement expires after the season and NBA commissioner David Stern has asked for a 21-year-old age limit in the next deal, with incentives provided to players who defer their draft eligibility to stay in college. The union originally opposed raising the current age limit of 18, but has begun to waver" ("Racist Undertones" p.4). Again, issues regarding an age limit in professional basketball have arisen because of the many different views the topic receives. None the less, while some may believe that enforcing an age limit on professional basketball may be the best idea for the sport and its athletes, there are those who disagree, and rightfully so.
             Enforcing an age limit for professional basketball would be a horrible policy for the NBA because of the many factors which an age limit policy would bring upon the sport.
             If the National Basketball Association (NBA) enforced an age limit where one has to be at least 21 years old to be eligible to be a player in the NBA, then the NBA would potentially be losing much of its extremely large fan base.
