Tessie Hutchison was in the center of the crowd, this crow was people that she knew, people that knew her all her life, friends and family. Somebody threw a stone at her, and it hit her on the side of the head. It didn't matter her plea for justice; the crow jump upon her. "The Lottery" is a horrible tradition which portraits the cruelty of the human raise in a primitive time. But now we as " first-world civilized citizens" we practice or we aloud abortion, the Capital punishment and bulling, which are traditions, behaviors or laws that have the same essence of "The Lottery".
Abortion is a cruel and inhuman law that allows a mother to kill his own unborn-child. A fetus is a living breathing human bean with the God-given right of live. Abortion is not difference than "The Lottery" because the essence of this act yells "My life is more important tan yours" despite the inhuman outcome.
Abortion is not the only cruel law; the Capital Punishment is inhuman and merciless law that goes against our God-given right of life. No one has the right to murder someone, and the root of this law is hate because if somebody inflicted pain to other we want to inflict the same or worst pain to the responsible.
Abortion and the Capital Punishment are merciless and unkind, but bulling is a daily life behavior that has the same inhuman outcome. We are killing people everyday with our selfish cruel behavior. Psychologists have determined that this behavior can diminish an individual's ego, personality; in other words it kills a person from the inside out.
The short story "The Lottery" exaggerates our inhuman, selfish and cruel behavior of the human-kind. We do not practice this kind of tradition, but we do practice or aloud it to happen abortion, capital punishment and bulling. They have the same roots which are selfishness and hate.
