Jane Eyre

             Jane Eyre gives a glimpse of the hardships and dilemmas faced by a t the time when they are considered inferior , and men are the normal and the essence of strength and security. The novel shows us the struggles of Jane and her desire to establish her own identity and be considered as the equal of everyone, regardless of sex and social class. Also, Jane wanted to be aware of her worth not only as a woman but simply as a full human being. These desires that Jane long for allow her to reach upward and takes her through many adventures physically and mentally. Though Jane faced many problems such as dealing with oppression and men exploitation of their love and emotion, she always found a way to retain her self-respect and respect to others.
             Jane goes out and experiences a period of happiness, which nothing can destroy her merry state. She feels this surge of fulfillment and satisfaction because she is in love. This joyous feeling of love represents Jane maturity and her senses of belong. The love she has for Rochester ,helps her obtain her high spirits and appears to help her remember that someone really loves her. The presence of Mr. Rochester in Jane's life is a stepping stone to reassure that there s hope on life, and also that she is not just another "Plain Jane". The words "Plain Jane" is ironic toward Jane because this is how Jane views her at one point. She directly makes the comment after becoming involved with Mr. Rochester " it was no longer plain".
             Jane's sense of belong becomes stronger as she matures. As she grows older Jane becomes a very independent woman , thanks to the inheritance given to her by her Uncle Eyre. Another major example, is the love life of Jane, she goes through a variety of relationships, which propels her as a character to experience new things .
