On the topic of Corporal Punishment I think that it shouldn't be reintroduced because not only it's a disgrace to the school, it's a disgrace to humanity itself.
             We know that pupils talk rudely to their teachers, use inappropriate language and behave in a hostile manner towards their elders but I think this just doesn't justify that corporal punishment should be reintroduced in the schools.
             If a teacher belts or canes somebody then that means that the teacher in it self is not capable to communicate to the student. It is a form of bullying and the teacher is basically disregarding his/her own advice. Its like fighting fire with fire. Students come to school to acquire knowledge from their teachers. They come to school to learn how to fit in the community and live in a civilised manner and if you are belting someone then that is not an example of living in a civilised manner.
             By belting or caning someone you are merely abusing them mentally and physically. You are taking their rights away from them and often the crime doesn't match the punishment. Knowledge, discipline and all other good deeds can't just be inserted into someone through punishment. These qualities are the inner changes in the man itself and can only be brought through constant training, love and affection.
             In the minds of a student a teacher is a personality you look up to and plan to follow in your life which lies ahead. If the teacher's cane and belt you then you are not going to honour and respect them but you are going to be filled with hatred. The particular teacher is going to lose all his/her dignity in the eyes of the student.
             Similarly the student is also going to be affected. He is going to lose all his confidence and therefore losing his/her trust and faith on the teacher.
