I have been around racing all my life. My dad and Uncles have been racing every since I could remember. So it was only natural for me to get into it. My dad got out of racing for a little while but since then my brothers have got back into it my oldest brother drag races and my other brother circle track races both are good in their styles of racing but this is about my experience in racing. I have raced in both styles of racing both are a big adrenaline rush. When I dragged raced I went with my oldest brother he took me on a few passes to show me the ropes on getting staged. So by the time I got my turn to drive all this anticipation had built up and I was so nervous my hands were all sweaty I was hoping I wouldn't screw up by red lighting are just get caught sleeping off the line and it didn't help that a bunch of my friends were their to watch me but luckily I didn't do to bad I had a .301 reaction time and a 16.89 elapsed time driving a 95 ford thunderbird. When I drove circle track I was much more confidant than I was when I dragged raced because I've been around it a lot more but it was about the same as far me being nervous as I was at the drag strip. The car ran a little hot in the practice session but it wasn't that big of a deal so I went ahead and raced that afternoon. The track I was racing at you have to draw for position in the heat race and as luck would have it I drew the pole for the second heat race most first time drivers give up there starting position to go to the rear of the field to get the hang of it and stay out of the way but not me I have enough confidence in my driving skills to start out front.
