             Dwight R. Lee argues that drilling oil in ANWR should be allowed to reduce the nation's dependence of foreign reserves, particularly in the Middle East. Transportation of the oil would not be difficult and it would be possible to mitigate the environmental risks involved. Further he questions if the economic benefits could exceed the value and integrity of the ANWR.
