e Designer is in charge of all the different aspects of the new interior, therefore, according to (?) the designer must "supervise all the work and make sure everything is done right and is properly placed...This means dealing with contractors and overseeing the work of carpenters, electricians, painters, paper hangers, and other craft workers" (118).
             Career opportunities in the growing field of Interior Design are endless. There are also many different ways you can run this kind of business. "It can be set up as: an individually owned firm, as a partnership, as a corporation, or as a combined business with architecture" (Ball 28). I started to consider pursuing this career about a year ago when I developed an interest in home makeover/interior design shows on television, i.e.: "Trading Spaces" on The Learning Channel and my current favorite, "Extreme Makeover-Home Edition" on ABC. Seeing how much fun the designers have with the people they are working with was only one benefit to this career. Another is the reaction of the people you are designing for and how much you can change their entire life with just a little creativity and hard work. To have a client with a smile on their face after a finished result is well worth the efforts and you go home knowing that you have made an imprint in their life forever. I personally love walking into a room that immediately soothes or catches the eye with unique blends of colors, fabrics and furniture, And a clean organized space is ALWAYS relaxing. I feel that Interior Design would definitely be a suitable job for me because my plan for college exactly follows the pathway to this career, the
