Religion has not only been a positive aspect to the world, but a negative one as well. Religion has brought together people that are completely different as well as torn them apart. People are united within a church because of religion. Other people are out on the battlefield fighting because of the same belief that has brought them together. Religions are of great controversy to the world. It is impossible to know which is true and which is untrue, because there are so many different religions out there. Islam and Judeo-Christianity are two religions that are constantly coming face to face because of the copious amount of similarities as well as differences. Both religions have similarities when it comes to their teachings on monotheism as well as morals, but they also differ in each of their worship practices. These two religions do have certain differences, but the fact that their main idea is almost identical overcomes these differences.
             Not all religions believe in only one God. However, the Islamic and Judeo-Christianity doctrines share the basic principle that there is only one God. The people of these faiths are only allowed to worship one individual, and that is their God. For Christianity, The Lord is their one God; for Muslims, Allah is their one and only God. The Judeo-Christian faith believe that "There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and to destroy", as is stated in James 4:12. To prove such a similarity, in Islam's sacred text, The Koran, it is said, "We shall not serve anyone but God and we shall associate none with him." Statements such as these are made from cover to cover of both The Koran and The Bible indicating the radical monotheism of these religions.
