The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

             1) In this book, the author starts out with one of the four main characters narrating in the prologue. This narrating gives the background on how the whole "traveling pants" started and where it began and why. This beginning is very effective and helps out the reader a lot because it explains everything right away, so the reader can understand the book better. Foreshadowing in this book happens a lot. After reading just the prologue I knew that in the pants were magical to them. Also, that whoever wore them meant something good was going to happen. Automatically, when I read this chapter I wanted to read more because it made me wonder "What kind of happenings would occur in the pants?" I have to say, that it got my imagination running wild
             2) There is one particular character in this book that makes me immediately think of myself. Mrs. Bishop, who has read this book, thinks that I am a lot like this person too. Her name is Bridget and she is really big into soccer. She has a twin brother and her mother died when she was young. Her energy level never decreases. She sleeps very little and does so many activities during the day. She has a lot of determination and works really hard to get what she wants. In this book, she went to a soccer camp in Baja, California. At this camp, she saw this guy named Eric and fell immediately in love with him, but there was a problem. Eric was a counselor at the camp, and that means he is very off limits. Bridget, being determined to get what she wants, found a way to make him like her, by flirting and impressing him with her soccer skills. Eventually, one night, she sneaked to his cabin and they had sex. After that night, Bridget was totally different and needed some serious help.
