Our project will fulfill the following objectives:
             Our aim is to first start explore and analyze Indian Textile industry as a whole and facilitate it to attain and sustain a pre-eminent global standing in the manufacture and export of clothing. Then I have done detailed analysis of GTN .Later I have done SWOT analysis and try to find new opportunities and challenges for the company. In a nutshell ,I have analyzed the present position of the company and done a comparison with its' closest competitors. Second phase of our project will include doing comparative Working Capital Analysis for GTN TEXTILES. The primary objective behind this is to ensure that sufficient cash is available to:
            
• meet day-to-day cash flow needs;
            
• pay wages and salaries when they fall due;
            
• pay creditors to ensure continued supplies of goods and services;
            
• pay government taxation and providers of capital - dividends; and
            
• ensure the long term survival of the business entity
             Later, I have calculated and analyzed working capital cycle ,liquidity ,profitability ,inventory ratios,beta,variance,covariance,standard deviation,slope,intercept.
             The limitations of the project are :
            
• There is no primary data available for such analysis, so we will have to greatly depend upon the secondary data & services such as magazines, CMIE, which is subjected to availability
            
• Also we would restrict our self up to particular industry of textiles because of the limited project duration.
            
• Presence of the unlisted companies will have to be ignored as no absolute data can be obtained about them.
            
• Analysis of financial data is based on personal judgment .View points and suggestions can vary from one person to another.
            
• Scope of the project is limited to analyzing financial data and reports.
