There are many attributes, or qualities of God. They are based on our ideas of Him and from the things He has created. Logic proves that only a being infinitely more wise and knowing, and perfect could have created a planet such as the one that we live on. We know that there is no possible way that the universe with all of its billions of stars and planets, could have simply just happened. We know that man could not have created himself, nor the animals, plants, insects, and the many other living things on the earth, because it is impossible. For instance, man can only create inanimate objects like machinery and paper, but even those things came from something God made – paper comes from trees, and the metals in machinery came from the minerals God put in the earth. Therefore, everything we have in our world came from God. The minds of the men who created these objects had to have come from somewhere – where else but from God? Many doctors have tried to `create' a human being, but they have always failed, because only God can do that, and we need God to breathe life into our souls, or else we cannot live. Those who try to `create' people are trying to say that they are just as good as God Himself. They don't want to admit that there is one greater than they are. I have included some of the attributes of God here. He is all-knowing; He knows all our thoughts, words, deeds, actions and omissions. He is omni-present – He is everywhere. There is not one place on earth that one could go, or any place that one could hide. He is all-loving; He loves every person that He created, contrary to what some people might think. If God ceased to think or care about a person or thing, that person or thing would cease to exist. He is all-just and all-merciful. The mercy of God forgives our sins, through the Sacrament of Confession, also through allowing us to make mistakes and therefore learn from them. His infinite merc...
