easy way out. We can tell that not may people have taken the road in which he has selected, because it still has a lot of grass growing there; this road could symbolize the long-term success of doing what is right and not what is easy. It would have been easiest for him to take the same road as everybody, but instead he wanted to be different from the people around him. In the poem the author says, ¡°I doubted if I should ever come back¡± (5 ); could this be because he likes the road he choose? We have all made choices in our lives that made us so happy that we did not want to go back to our old ways; is that what the author feels? I believe the main point the author is trying to get across in this poem is that you do not always have to do the same thing everybody else is doing¡take the road less traveled by, it may change your life.
I thought this poem had several good meanings behind it. I liked how it talked about being your own person and not taking the road that everybody else takes. I also like how he compares a decision in life to two diverging roads in the wood, sometimes decisions in life seem that way. We are not too sure where they will lead, or what will happen, but it is worth a chance to try. He talks about how one decision (taking the road less traveled by) has made all the difference in his life, and I think that when it comes to a decision, just by choosing what we think and not what everybody else thinks could really change our life and make all the difference as well. So I would defiantly have to say that I agree with the author and what he is saying.
This poem is very relevant today; because it is true that we cannot follow somebody for our entire lives, we must learn to think for ourselves. When we choose the road less traveled by we are choosing a path for our own lives. It is human instinct to try to be distinct from one another, but how are we supposed to do that when we all make the same...
