Loud chanting and barbarous attacks describe the savagery of mankind in William Golding's novel Lord of the Flies. The novel shows how boys stranded on an island gradually change from being civilized to becoming savages. Golding's novel establishes how uncivil mankind is. Today's events also corroborate the savageness among mankind. The events portrayed in Lord of the Flies and current events confirm that savagery is prominent among mankind.
