Why are names so important? Usually the first thing a person « gets » in life and the first thing you want to know about another person is their name. This allows us to store the information (name) and the image (face) in our brains for future reference. Names are used all around and all day long, they are used for naming objects, buildings, people, pets, etc. Interesting names like the name Blade Queer, are sometimes used as a weapon, are found weird but are real names.
             Blade Queer happens to have one of those names that can be used as a tool or weapon for mockery and insult. But it's just a name, a few letters put together, it doesn't tell you anything else about the person, doesn't tell you if he or she is nice, tall, dark, funny, etc. Yet a name can be used against us. I imagine Blade alone is already used for mockery since a blade is a weapon, and Queer well I don't even need to explain. It's funny how a name can mean and be used for so much, but tell us little. When you look at blade you don't see weapons or danger, not even the slightest sign of anger or rage. He probably only ever uses sharp objects, for cooking and cutting plants. He doesn't look queer, he's just a regular thirty year old man, with a short neatly cut beard, blue eyes, a smell of flowers around him and the most calm and soft voice I've ever heard. He uses this vocal gift to talk to his plants, like many people seem to do these days. When talking or looking at this man nothing indicates that he should have a name like Blade Queer.
             More Important then what a person looks like or what his name is, is how he lives and what he does. Blade's living style and surroundings may be the only characteristic that could be an indicator of his name.
