On Sunday mornings I attend my church. The preacher this past Sunday spoke on Our Relationship with God. The purpose of the sermon was to convey to the congregation that it is important to have a relationship with God. The Pastor explained to us our relationship with God should be our main focus. God should be first in our lives and everything else comes after that. She made us to know if God is head of our life we wont be defeated, and he will see us through the times we feel we cant bear anymore. She explained to the congregation that God will not put more on us then we can bear.
             The pastors had strengths and weaknesses in her sermon. Her strengths were her ability to convey the message very precise and clear. She made me as a member really understand that my relationship with God is very crucial. She did not come off to hard or to soft. She used a very firm but re assuring voice that made you feel like you knew you had a lot of work to do on your life , but you can do it. One weakness in the sermon was she could have spoke longer. Her sermon only lasted for an hour. All though you can cover a lot in an hour I feel she could have gone even further in discussing our relationship with God.
             The pastors attire was very appropriate for the occasion. She wore a robe so there was no distraction from jewelry or designs on her clothing. The way she presented her sermon was very elegant she used the appropriate body language she was very lady like but yet she was very firm. Her eye contact with the congregation was well. She looked at both sides of the room equally, and she even addressed the people sitting in the balcony. She moved up and down the aisles slowly , and it did not take from the sermon. The hand gesture she used were not to big or to small. She appeared to be very confident with her movements , eye contact, and gestures.
