It, in fact, turns out that interracial marriages tend to last longer than the same-race ones because the people going into them are more prepared for a bumpy road- a marriage with differences, and might have been prepared to stick with it. On the other hand, same race couples may not have that same expectation or have experienced such hardship that at the first sign of struggle, might back out of the relationship due to the mentalities.
             Regarding the families of the couples, some alienate the in-laws with respect to the race-differences and the perceptions of one for the other. Acceptance is determined by the reputation of a particular race. The reputation that each race has is relative to the view of the other races and is also based on the cultures of "viewers"; how well each race accepts each other's "extraneous" cultures. White men, who marry interracially, tend to have a higher acceptance rate among family members, while the outrace women don't have as high acceptance rate.
