When I was about 16 years old I had left my girlfriends house to go catch the bus home. An older white woman was at the bus stop as I walked up, she immediately grabbed her purse close to her body. I just laughed at her and told her I had enough money in my pocket to buy everything she had on. I still thought it was rude of her to do that, I can't say I was hurt by it but what happened next really pissed me off. While standing there waiting for the bus a police car rolled bye and the cop in the car looked at me, right then I thought to myself don't let him stop. Of course he turned down the next street, so that he could back tracked to the bus stop. When he pulled in the parking lot next to the bus stop I tried to ignore him but he got out of the car, and called me over. I asked him what he wanted he just said, get over here you little shit. So I went over to see what was the deal he asked me what I was doing here. I told him that I was going home, the cop told me that I didn't look like I lived in this area. Then he asked me why was I standing next to this white woman. I repeated to him that I was going home and waiting for the bus to. Now he tells me to empty my pockets I refuse because I know this is wrong. The cop then grabs me and pushes me up against his car so that he can search me. Right when he is putting his hand in my back pocket, my girlfriend's Aunt Janie walks up to him and says what is going on. The cop tells her to go away it is not any of her concern, she tells him that she is a lawyer with this big firm in the area and that I'm her nephew so it is her concern. He immediately lets me go and tells her it was a miss understanding. The whole experience upset me a lot at the time because I was so young. Now that I'm older I know that, this is something that happens to a lot of young black males. You just have to be smart about
