I can honestly say that I am a hopeless romantic or a sucker for romance. I always dream of happily ever after's, finding Mr. Right, my prince charming and my knight in shining armor. If I were in the shoes of Catherine, I would have taken that giant leap of faith or the risk to be with Newt, my first and only love. I wouldn't deny the fact that I really have strong feelings for Newt and so does he. I really hate "torpe" guys because both parties will really be affected. Personally, I tend to use my heart when it comes to certain aspects in my life but I see to it that it does not get the better of me and that it won't hurt the feelings of others. I also agree with what Catherine said about women not being good at hiding their love or their emotions towards the opposite sex because I can really relate to what she said. And if I were in Newt's shoes I would have expressed my feelings towards Catherine long ago. I would grab the opportunity immediately if I really love her that much. Even though it took Newt a long time to have the guts to really tell Catherine what he felt about her, his way of expressing it was kind of daring but still romantic. I also like the fact that the writer used many symbolisms in the story, which I think will let the readers think deeper about the real essence of the story. I really like the line of Newt, "One foot in front of the other, through leaves, over bridges." This line really made me analyze what it really means and how it is intertwined with Catherine and Newt. All in all I think the story is funny and romantic.
