Why cigarette smoking is bad for your heath
             Cigarette smokers smoke because it relaxes and calms them down. As a smoker I agree with that, but knowing the facts about cigarettes has given me a reason to quit. For starters it is unhealthy and leads to lung cancer, plus many other heath problems. Smoking leads too physical problems as well. If we know about the risks then why do we still smoke? We smoke because of peer pressure, and too look cool. If you were to ask me I would say that the bad outweighs the good.
             Many health problems have been linked to cigarette smoke. The main problem is lung cancer. It is a proven fact that ninety five percent of lung cancer deaths are due directly to cigarette smoke. Listen to this fact, even if you don't smoke you are still in harm! Ninety nine point nine percent of secondhand smoke increases the risk of lung cancer in nonsmokers. We just aren't hurting ourselves, we are hurting kids and adults as well. Sure nonsmokers get cancer, but smoking increases the chance of getting cancer.
             Emphysema is another health problem caused from cigarette smoke. This is a chronic lung disease that gives you shortness of breath. What happens is air expands in the tissues. If you play sports and smoke cigarettes then you are in trouble. You will loose your breath quicker than if you didn't smoke. A athlete wouldn't be able to give a hundred percent.
             Bronchitis is also caused by cigarette smoke. Bronchitis is a respiratory disease in which tiny airways in the lungs narrows and shuts. This cause's coughing accompanied by thick phlegm
             and breathlessness. Doesn't that sound sexy? Your out on a date with a guy or girl and they cough up some green stuff. That would make me want to go to the bathroom and never come back.
