The hot topic in the country right now is gay marriage. It seems everywhere I go I hear about gay marriage, whether it be in the newspaper, on the radio, or in my English class. Recently the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruled that denying same-sex couples the same benefits of marriage was unconstitutional. The court gave you, the Massachusetts State Legislature 180 days to take action according to the ruling. I know that you have had a hard time deciding what to do. That's why I am writing you this letter, to let you know that gay marriage is bad for the United States and to prove to you why it should not be allowed using evidence I have gathered through my studies of this matter.
             After flipping threw a few dictionary, I have gathered what the true definition of a marriage is according to most or our ancestors and the present day us. That definition is a union between a man and a woman and God. They devote there lives to each other and everything in which they acquire become both of theirs. God, you say we cant use him because we are trying to separate church and state. Even though this country was founded on God's guidance and trust. Ok I understand that so we will not use Him. Its taken 5000 years for the topic of gay marriage to be brought up, why now, some say its because we are just now tolerable of things out of the norm. According to that statements which I just presented it seems that gay marriage is not normal, not natural to the everyday person.
