The best gift that I have ever given to someone would most likely be the gift I gave to my dad on his fiftieth birthday. I figured it would be special to surprise him on his birthday. My brother and I had a few ideas in mind. My father had wanted these golf clubs, a watch, and other costly purchases, but we only had a limited budget. We finally decided to fix him a surprise dinner that we would put together. I knew he would like something unexpected for a change. Especially, if it was something that me and my brother had came together to do on our own. Since it was a surprise we could not let anybody know, not even mom.
             Now, we just had to put everything together by the next day including the meal, a card, and a box of cigars that he wanted at the time. We put our money that we had at the moment together to see if we had enough to get what we needed for the purchases. The night before, we went to the local grocery store and bought our supplies. The meal of choice that we picked was Ribeye steaks, bake potato, and a house salad. He always enjoys eating out at Outback when we decide to go to a restaurant and he always enjoys those items. Expecting not to spend much money, we ended up spending about every dime we had. With a little help of a friend for transportation, and a couple of hours later we had what we needed. Also I was not eighteen, so my friend had to purchase them for me. At the time, neither one of us knew how to cook, or even operate the grill, but I had a good general idea on what needed to be done. My brother was not much help; (he thinks he is Emeril the Chef). We cautiously fired up the grill and let it heat up. We had never had done anything like this, but we were prepared for the worst.
