Nervous Parents Learn to let go

This article was about the concerns of parents about their teenage sons and daughters going to University. Almost everybody starts school in September and a big percentage of students stay at the University residence. The parents who are used to having them in the house and being involved in their (the students) lives, find it difficult to part with their children. The parents sometimes try to lace themselves into their children's lives even at university, which experts advise not to do.
The reason being that for 17-18 year old students in college and university are in a completely different stage in their lives. To make the transition from high school to university easier, the students should be fully immersed into the university lifestyle and should try to find their place in their new life in university.
Some of the important arguments are that the students need to immerse themselves to find their place. You can't have your parents holding your hands all the time.
The reporter interviewed mothers, freshmen, and Members of the universities involved. There were also reports of sightings of parents with their children during orientation and even parents bunking with their children in their residence. Both sides were represented equally. However there was no input from female students or any of the fathers, who could pretty much change the article.
I agreed with the article, because parents are trying to hard to get involved with our lives. I feel that if they become too involved with us, we wouldn't function well in the future. It would be really difficult to learn to let go.
