against the world on his own and must rise up to survive. An example is when he was riding for one man who charged him more for rent and food then what he was being paid. This forced Red to compete harder to win just to live. It was his drive.
             When Red came across the owner of Seabiscuit and was offered job he had just been givin his big brake. This horse was to become his best friend and would change his entire look on life and the world. Seabiscuit was an abused horse and was really hard to train. After a lot of work with this horse, he became one of the fastest horses in the world. Seabiscuit was a small horse and everybody laughed when they saw him, but after he raced, everyone ended up eating there own words. Red became a known jockey in horse racing, he now had the power over the society in his mind. This in the sense of his mind placement put him on top, he had the power.
