Through out his many great battles, Beowulf has triumphed over every vile evil imaginable. His strength, compassion and valor make him the perfect hero. With fate along by his side he was the trump card of the Geats.
The battle at Herot, a mead hall, and home to Hrothgar was a bloody endeavor. Finishing with his quarry he edged over to Beowulf. The hellish beast was now on the doorstep to death, for our hero had not just physical strength but fate sided with him. He was destined to be victorious. Locking hands to claws the two monoliths of power fought a gruesome and bloody battle. Grendel although defeated managed to escape leaving behind his arm. The arm Beowulf with his might tore off the beast shoulder in all.

Simply because this mistress of evil cast spells upon her-self which made her skin impermeable to the weaponry of man. Only brute strength can smite the bane of Valhalla. In the end the omnipotent protagonist was the victor due to the ubiquitous presence of Him.
