Since I was five years old I have played and enjoyed the game of golf. I am an extremely competitive athlete, and strive to meet the goals I set for myself. My golf career started out with the junior golf lessons at Indian Tree Golf Course, then to competing in the 10 and under division tournaments for the Colorado Junior Golf Association. Then I played in the Gold Crown Junior Golf Association tournaments and was the Season Champion for the last four years. Currently I am a high school golfer for Pomona High School. My high school golf career has been amazing and I have achieved several goals that I set for myself when I was a freshmen.
             Being a typical freshmen at Pomona High School, I didn't know what to expect of the golf team when spring time came around. I was the youngest on the team, but I was also the best. I ended up being the number one golfer for Pomona High School as a freshmen. I loved the experience of leading the team to each league match throughout the season. I was ranked fourth in league and received first team All-Conference. I was the only golfer from Pomona to qualify for the State Tournament, which was held at Wellshire Golf Course in Denver, Colorado. I was pleased with my finishing at State, I placed 18th. This year I learned to become a leader and be positive about everything. I realized how important it was to keep good grades throughout golf season.
             My sophomore year came around and I was still the number one golfer at Pomona. Over a year, my game improved by a few strokes. I placed 2nd in league and received first team All-Conference once again. At the regional tournament I got 2nd so I qualified for state. The state tournament this year was held at Hillcrest Golf Course in Durango, Colorado. Although I didn't quite finish as I had wished, I was still pleased with my overall year of golf. I tied for 28th at the state tournament.
