Ki

             ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS JUST LOOK BEHIND YOU
             So your walking down the street. There is nothing "abnormal" about this. When all of a sudden you get this strange urge that someone is strange urge that someone is staring at you. You turn around to check on your hunch, and your right, someone was staring at you. Why did you feel the urge to turn around? Why did you think, or know that someone was staring at you? Some people may people may say that it was completely chance that you knew someone was staring at you. While there is another group of people that say it was not chance. They say that you knew someone was looking at you because of the "Ki" or "Chi" energy the person that was staring at you was projecting. I believe that there are little things in this world that are left up to chance. I am not here to put religion, science and peoples general beliefs down. What I am here to do is open your eyes and mind to the fact that there was something that makes us all feel the urge to just turn around and look.
             To fully understand the concepts that will be discussed in this paper we have to look at the origins of where Ki came from. The theory of Ki can be followed all the way back to 1200 B.C.E, even before the time of Jesus Christ, in the Tao Te Ching written by Lao Tzu. In Chinese philosophy, Ki is what creates all the elements in the world. It is not that Ki is a type of deity or G-d; it is more of a life energy that flows through all people and things. When you look at what Ki literally translates from Korean to English as air, but technically there is no real translation on what Ki actually means. Since air is around us, and so is Ki this was the closest thing to the direct meaning of Ki. Today people, especially people in the western hemisphere no longer call this energy Ki, they are beginning to call it the sixth sense, or even in more scientific fields the vestibular sense.
