Best Memory of Freshman Year

In the beginning of freshman year it was a little scary, up until baseball season started that is. Baseball is life for me. It involves having fun, getting exercise, and competing with some of the best players around.
Schaumburg is known for having some of the best all-around sports teams in the state, especially baseball. Schaumburg's baseball team has gone to state almost every year. My greatest freshman memory is not just one thing; it is the whole baseball season. Some of the best memories I had were on the bus rides to away games. Our whole team would laugh and joke with each other and have the best of times.
I think that the best memory I had though was breaking the best freshman record, which was 18-6. Our final record was 19-5. I felt very proud to be on the team that accomplished that, and I will remember it throughout my four years at Schaumburg High School.
Baseball was fun because I was able to be with all good friends of mine, and I was also playing the sport I loved. At the beginning we were just friends, at the end of the season we were like brothers. Every game or practice we had was the most fun you could imagine. Even though we were very serious, we still found the right ways to make it an awesome time. Part of that was because of our coach, Coach Koller. I think he inspired my teammates and I to become the best baseball players to walk the halls at Schaumburg, and I respect that and will remember that forever.
All in all freshman year was exciting, but the best time I had was playing baseball. That is why it is my best freshman memory that I will remember for the rest of my life.
