Fukuyama's article is tough to follow and seems to point much of the credit back to the early nineteenth century in a way quoting the philosophies of Hegel and Marx. Fukuyama is very insightful yet also very contradictive. He feels on one hand that the so called end of history points towards a sense of freedom, while on the other hand states that it is a sad time because he feels art and philosophy have come to an end and points towards a sort of pride in the time history truly existed per say and the powerfulness of ideological struggle.
