Back in my home town Louisville I am a member of the second biggest church in the world Southeast Christian church. I have been going there for the past fifteen years. But after fifteen years we finally decided to volunteer with something, so we checked out the nursery. My whole family thought that It would be a good idea so we all signed up for a class to learn everything you need to know to be a volunteer.
             After a couple of weeks we were all in the same room together. The class that we watched was two to three year olds. To be honest I really didn't think that I was going to like this but it was really something that I enjoyed. It was mainly just about teaching the word of God to these two year olds. We would due nursery the second and fourth Sunday of each month. Also each Sunday that we volunteered it was the same children each week so after awhile we really got attached to these kids.
             Each week when we would get there the first thing we would do would just to play around with the children. After about twenty minutes we would sit them all around a table and each kid would get a napkin, two crackers, and a cup of water. After the snacks we would sit the kids on a little carpet for story time. Each week the teacher, this guy named Peter would tell a certain story with stuffed animals. After the story we had a clean up session, then it was time for the parents to pick them up after that.
             I stopped nursery two weeks ago mainly because it was hard to make it all the way back on Sunday and also the children got switched to a different class, so we got new children.
