Comparing a newspaper from today's world to one of yesteryear is like looking at two different worlds. Case in point, take a look at the Jersey Journal. If we examine a recent edition of the paper we can see the glaring differences of today and 200 years ago. The Jersey Journal is divided into three separate sections totaling 21 pages. Sometimes it is even larger than that. As for the amount of stories in the paper, it totaled over 100.

The price of the paper is 50 cents and is distributed in several ways. You can get the paper delivered to your house, pick it up at a store, or even read it on the Internet.
The types of stories that run in the paper are informational stories. There are some editorial pieces but the paper is mostly unbiased in its opinions. We didn't even start talking about the different sections. There are Sports stories, Life stories, and a Comic section run everyday.

The stories that would run back then were politically driven. The entire paper would be driven by what side of politics it was drawn into. There would be a lot of fluff stories inside the editions if there were no real pieces of news available at the deadline. The editorial pieces in today's papers have that usual line of "these opinions are not that of the Jersey Journal" in it.
If you wanted an edition of the paper you would have to subscribe to it, o...
