one starting at the same point the opportunities each person have are the same. There are no longer obstacles such as class division, economic inequalities, unequal life chances, and false consciousness. With obstacles cleared all people share in the goal of fulfillment of human needs. To be truly free is, to be free from such obstacles and to be free to pursue one's aims and aspirations as long as they are not harmful to others.
