             but that didn't dissuade him in the least. Gatsby's whole efforts in the book are
             focused on trying to bring him and Daisy back to the point they were at when he
             was in the military, except now he is rich. Gatsby affirms this when he says,
             "Can't repeat the past? Why of course you can." (111)
