Death from Above

Death from above is a term used by many people in the past. The oldest known occurence was during the Spanish Civil War when the, then re-arming, Germany Military sent the Luftwaffe bombing brigades to destory rebels oppsing Franco's fasict party.
Death from above also appears in a rather old episode of the Simpson's in which Bart and his friends and colleagues stage a plot to get vengence on the bully Nelson Muntz. Hermin, the local "war veteran" helped them stage it. He planned for water ballons. Bart got them and he asked "Is it okay if some of them say 'Happy Birthday' on them?" Dissapointed Hermin replies that he rather them say "death from above". Oh! The hilariousnisism. Quite the show.
Death from above also appears in Calvin and Hobbes and many other cartoons and comic strips. There's apicture in some history book somewhere where an American bombing regiment wrote "death from above" on one of the bombs, that was quite comical.
All in all, death from above is a funny saying although it wasn't probably funnt in the Spanish Civil War in the 1930's, when mothers and fathers were being blown into a little bits and aall the children could was watch from underneath a peice of ceiling that had fallen on them, until of course they died from the flames! They would scream as they would be burned! Oh, the humanity! Anwyay, use to term, keep it alive.
