             Prejudice is something everyone has to live with. Everyone has some form of prejudice whether it be against people, food, music, or any number things. Throughout literature, however, Prejudice against people attracts much attention and focus is placed of what it is exactly and are it's roots.
             Even though as a whole, the whites were a minority in South Africa, the whites were split into two tribes quarrelling tribes that were prejudice against each other. The headmaster at PK's school said "It's Afrikaner law we're living under now, gentleman."(The Power of One) when referring to the fact they got in trouble for schooling blacks in English and were forced to hut down the Saturday school. One of the officers who followed the school's pupils, sergeant Botha, hated PK for being British. In fact, he found the black pupil's only after watching PK with them and his hatred for both was demonstrated by his strong-arming the headmaster. When PK arrives at the Afrikaner boarding school, comes to the conclusion that:
             "The English locked up 26,000 men, women and children into what they called concentration camps. Many of then died from malaria, typhoid, and black water fever. As the only English boy in our school, I was personally responsible for all their deaths."(The Power of One)
             When describing conditions in the school he was attending. He hated having to go to the school, but he was alienated for being British. He was bullied and taunted not because of his particular involvement, but rather his association with a hated people. Doc, a German, was also a victim of white on white oppression and is demonstrated when he is taken away for being a resident alien in World War II and PK says "It was then I realized that the Afrikaners were not the only one's to hate and fear others."(The Power of One) Referring to the prejudice taken against Doc, a harmless civilian...
